Beautiful Day #2

We got our mattress for our crib monday. My grandma and I went to lunch and then she went and got it for us. It looks really good and fits just perfect.
Today, Peanut Butter went to the doctor to get a little snip snip. He's still really out of it. He wants nothing to do with Kellie and for right now is our calm one. Kellie just pushed me down and I fell down our two steps in the laundry room landing on my knees then my side. Literally, 5 minutes ago.
Tomorrow I get to speak to a child development class about being pregnant. They get to ask me questions and I just pretty much get to talk about myself for 45 minutes.
Oh-we decided not to get that dog after all. We have our hands full now and training one pooping thing to the next is not my idea of fun. It does suck though, because Allan wanted it really bad. Thats all I have for now.

trying to think of a title....

So its been a little busy around here the last couple days. Allan surprized me with a new camera. He just ordered it, it hasn't come yet...i'm so excited-I'm making my brother be my tester outer..and is letting me take his senior pics. here's a little preview of what it will look like. Its a nikon d80.

We bought it with a kit so we get 5 lenses, a tripod, 4gb memory, flash, hard carrying case, soft carrying case, card reader, ect...as you can see, i'm super excited.

Also, we painted our baby room and as we speak, Allan is putting up the chair rail and I can start decorating. The top half is a light olive green and the bottom is a dark brown. We took our blanket in ,thats going to be our theme, to match the colors. We put our crib together last night after we got out of a movie. We were tired but wanted to see what it all looked like. We still have to get the mattress and bedding. My mom is making curtains and we are ordering a new floor this week, hopefully, so it should be finished soon.

My dr appt went really well. He gave me a list of medicine that will help with my stomach problems and some tricks that will help with my back. The heartbeat was really strong again so we shouldn't worry even though I always do. But some concerns of his was that I'm around smoke during the week when I visit family and he wants me to stay away from that. I usually do but now that "Baby J's" lungs are developing, so its absolutely no smoking environments for us.

Some things that are coming up are my baby shower, which I'm trying to plan right now, our lamaze class starts next month, we have a home visit with a lady from health servies. I guess its a new thing where they visit all new expecting mothers in saline area, so that should be fun. And, even though people might think we're crazy, we're getting another dog tomorrow...a mastiff/lab mix...he's so cute and allan wanted him so bad. Its a first come, first serve basis so I have to be first in line tomorrow to get him. The only thing we were concerned about is the food but we found a dog food that comes in bulk for pretty cheap...so it will be me, allan, "Baby J", peanut butter, kellie, and either max or ben (we can't decide what to name him). Pretty full load here in about 3 months.

a little update...

So...this weekend, Allan and I went to Newkirk, OK to their cassino. We broke even on slots. I lost the money, he won it back. Then we played 4 1/2 hours of bingo. We had a blast. We also bought our stroller..its the travel system so it comes with the carseat and base. We also got our crib....so exciting. My mom got it for us. She originally picked out a different one for us but when we got to the store, they were out of stock even in the warehouse so we decided on another one. We're going to be painting the baby room this weekend, so everything should be falling into place soon.

We have a dr appt on wednesday, just a checkup, some bloodwork. I don't think we're getting a sono this time but def. next time. I have to talk to him about some medication I was taking prior to getting pregnant, I have to switch to an alternative b/c turns out I was on them for a reason and thought I was strong enough to just quit, but I'm not.


This is the beginning of a very long adventure of getting everything for our new nursery. We picked both of these items out, had them ordered and paid for in less than 25 minutes...that walking in and walking out of the store. We like to think we know exactly what we want and when we see it, we get it.

Not a whole lots happen in the last couple days. Allan and I spent a couple days in concordia. I've been trying to go down with him at least once a week and I've been so interested in sewing that my m.i.l. is going to teach me how. I've never taken a class or anything but my best friend in h.s. was always sewing or making bracelts...anything. I was always there to watch but at the time had other things on my mind. So my m.i.l sat me down and started showing me how. I want to get a sewing machine of my own so I can practice..I found one for $179.00 that I really want but I think before I get too into it, I'll get a cheaper one till I know I like it.

Last night we went to Zales to look at a bigger diamond for my engagement ring and also another band to add onto my set. I really want the band and it was in the price range we were hoping for but when we got there and started thinking about all the baby stuff we could get, I just didnt feel right about it since I'm not bringing any money into the house. The diamond was an absolute no for me (price wise) but allan thought it was a good deal and in the end, we decided to go to the food court to talk about it and decided no, that savings was a good idea for what we were going to spend.

So it was such a beautiful day out today. I was going to take the dogs to the park and do some walking until I heard the sound of a telephone...allan was calling me..like he always does when he gets off work. I had laid down for a quick second a fell asleep the entire afternoon. I'm so mad at myself I didn't get to enjoy it as much as I wanted.

I found some pictures from when allan and I first met. I know-their notthat long ago..but its still nice to look back..so much has happened in the last year 1/2.

Its been awhile...

So a lots happened since my last entry. We've had our ups and downs with our pregnancy. I had some problems with cramps and bleeding but found out I had a UTI and "Baby J" was kicking my previa (or something-a uninary wall?). I've been gaining very little weight but the baby is bigger than average.

We've registered and are trying to decorate. But spending time with our family, friends, and dogs and trying to get "some" alone time, its a little hard. I also just found out that SIDS runs in my family. I knew my brother died from it but didn't realize how both my gma and mom were worried about it. We decided to have our baby on a apnea heart monitor anytime he is sleeping. Oh by the way-we're having a Boy!

Our dogs have also been another problem. Peanut Butter is becoming very jealous and has to be in my face all day long. Kellie on the other hand is still her sweat heart self and knows when I don't feel good and that she needs to comfort me.

The last couple weeks, it feels like Allan is gone for days. I don't konw how much longer I can deal with him working an hour away. Also I don't know if its because I'm not working or if I'm lonely because of the pregnancy.
