Ninininininini

We're finally getting settled into our new house. I've been busy making curtain and decorating. Also, still keeping buy with photoshoots and sewing gifts for Christmas.

Burklee-Starts preschool in Jan. but he only has a spot until May. We'll have to make other arrangements for a year until he starts Kindergarten, but he's super excited. His elf "Jingle" came and is staying with us until Christmas. So far, Jingle has been very silly. He brought Burklee a small Christmas tree for his room, when zip-lining from the dining room to the living room, took a bubble bath (in marshmallows), wrote burklee a "good boy" letter and gave him a "good boy" snack, and today brought Burklee "magic seeds" that will grow into something special!

Bartelbe-Doesn't really care about Jingle...actually tried hitting him yesterday. He's starting to run and climb..especailly on the kitchen table. His new favorite words are "nininininini" (hence the title) which means exactly what it sounds like "night night", mama, dada, sissy (for bridget), bababa (bubba "burklee" and bottle)-but he's usually pointing at which one he's talking about. He fell off gma porch steps and chipped his tooth on the sidewalk, went to the dentist and had x-rays, everything was fine, fell into the wall walking out of the dentist.

Bridget-Finally sleeping almost all night. She only wakes up once to eat..and the last couple days, I've had to wake her up. She's the complete opposite of Bart who still wakes up twice a night. She smiles everytime I look at her, laughs at the boys constantly, and drools....everywhere, all the time!

Allan and I have decided to have a big 5 year anniversary party. The plan (as of now), is dinner for immediate family, and then a big open bar dance afterwards. We've got the "venue" booked (the commercial building at the fair grounds), the times set, invite list made, colors picked out, decorations and food decided on, now just clothes, a photographer, and paying for everything!

Some pictures...

Of course yes & Sure no

We've been keeping pretty busy. I've (Anna) have been working with photoshoots. I actually only have one available date open for the rest of the year and I'm trying to keep it open for any reschedules! Allan took a vegas trip and is now back to work everyday and then helps with the kids at night. He got to work on some of his toys this past weekend..Burk went to Wichita for his cousin's bday party with grandma and papa jim while I took bart and bridget to Salina.

Burklee's new favorite words are "of course yes" and "sure no" which means no thanks. He's been doing a little better about sharing and can't wait for christmas. We went to the mall tonight to get allan work boots but instead found ourselves in the Hallmark store picking out ornaments. Each year they get to pick one "special" ornament. Burklee chose an airplane as his although he seen about 15 others he wanted.

Bartelbe is walking almost perfect now, has starting wrestling with Burk (and is especially good when burk isn't looking), and loves giving Bridget kisses. His ornament was 3 trains from Chugington. We've starting weaning bart off his bottle but when mommy was giving burk a bath tonight, daddy gave in and gave him one so we get to start all over tomorrow. We'll see how it goes..

Bridget is laughing and smiling a ton now. She loves being held and watching her brothers play. Her ornament is a silver rocking horse that says Baby's 1st Christmas.

Two months later, I finally found all of our outfits for a fall family picture so I should have that up soon and I'll also have pictures later of the Christmas ornaments but for now...

so so much

I didn't realize it's been so long since I've wrote. So much has changed. (picture overload)

Burklee turned 3. We had an outdoor movie birthday party in our "lot". Allan made a big outdoor screen, we had hotdogs, popcorn, rootbeer floats, and popcorn cupcakes. He is now potty trained and working on sharing. Hopefully he starts preschool in January. He loves Thomas the Train, Diego, and Dora.

Bartelbe turned 1 this last weekend. We had a halloween themed party. Lunch was lasagna, garlic bread, fruit, witch's hair (twizlers), pumpkin guts (candy corn), earwax qtips (chocolate dipped marshmallows on a stick), and mummy cupcakes. We also carved and decorated pumpkins and he didn't care too much about opening gifts. He now walks and waves goodbye and chases his brother around to get his toys back.

He had a beautiful baby girl..Bridget Louise. She weighed in at 7lbs, 5oz and 19 1/2 inches long. Just this week, she has started looking at faces and smiling. She has always laughed. When she was a week old, it woke me. I thought she was choking but she was laughing and I figured it was something else because I had never heard of a baby laughing that early. But she has continued to do it..although its a lot louder now.

We sold our house in Salina and bought a new one in Concordia. We are going from our rental, one story, 2 bedroom, 1 bathroom, no basement to a 3 bedroom, 1 3/4 bath, half finished basement that could fit another 2 rooms. I cannot wait! All the houses we were looking at in our price range needed gutting or a lot of remodeling. This one was just over our budget but with our offer, put it back under. It was completely remodeled with paint, flooring, cabinets, and appliances. They even moved a wall in the dining room to add a  nice sized closet in the bathroom. I can't wait to finally decorate the kids' room. We spend 5 months decorating Burklee's when he was born, but since we were living in our rental for Bartelbe and Bridget, we decided to put it off. We have put a little work into the rental so hopefully can get someone in here as soon as we're out. We are planning on siding and adding new flooring next spring.

Not sure why I don't have a picture of the outside..but it sits on the side of a hill so you pull up to the garage and go up stairs to get to the front door.

Kitchen

Hallway. Bathroom first door on the right. Boys' room straight ahead. Our room and bridget's room to the left.

We move the first week of next month so I should have new decorated pictures!

Burklee-We're still trying the whole potty training thing. Its working some days and then other days..not so much! He says things like "oh Bartelbe, what are we going to do with you?", "mommy, these batteries are dangerous, be careful", and "daddy, I will play with your itouch when its done charging, k?" He's moved on and like movies like Matilda, Lemony Snicket, and Alice and Wonderland. Oh and he'll be THREE this saturday!

Bartelbe-8 1/2 months old, climbs everything including people, toys, the bookshelf. He still loves his bottle. Eating baby food on a daily basis and refuses to use a binky. His favorite food of the week is squash. He was sleeping thru the night for awhile but started teething again so its back to waking up twice a night. He babbles and says baba, dada, and mama (without knowing what they mean).

We found out we're having a girl and my cousin is planning a shower for me.

Allan and I found a house we both fell in love with and could see ourselves grow old there. It was originally on the market for over $100,000 but was recently foreclosed on, which we thought would be a good thing. We put an offer down for what we thought it was worth (it needs a little tlc), the bank counter offered, we counter offered, the bank rejected our offer. So we're off to look at more homes this week and hope we find something the both of us like..again!

Fun at the Zoo!!
