We've agreed!

So when we found out I was pregnant, I wanted a girl so bad and Allan said he didn't care but the moment we found out what we were having...his face was glowing!!! I wanted pink everything, flowers, ladybugs, tutu's, headbands, hair clips...and a play kitchen equiped with plates, silverware, and of course felt food...

And after I put the flower headband on burklee a month or so ago...Allan gave in and is making me a play kitchen. Non-gender specific! We've found all of Melissa and Doug products at our downtown toy store (The Toy Parade) and while Allan and I were looking around this last weekend...he finally agreed that Burk could be my little helper. Here are some pictures, but we're making it totally custom so it will completly original!

Examples: (I found all the following pictures from google images)

And here are some Melissa and Doug sets that I want to get for Burklee:

This last one is my favorite...it comes with dry erase markers shaped like icing tubes and you can decorate the cupcakes!
I can't wait until we have his kitchen done...it will be his 1st birthday present from mommy and daddy!

I've also been working on his birthday party. Its a color wonder party. Just a lot of colors! And I'm thinking about doing a photo booth at the party. So people can go into a private booth and dress as goofy as they wish so Burklee will have a scrapbook of who all was at his 1st birthday. I would love to have this but don't know how to go about doing it...since I know I'll be busy...don't know if I should do it at the beginning or end so I can be the one actually taking the pictures!!! Any ideas?

Spring Is Here...well at least for today!

Today is so nice. Let me rephrase. Today is AMAZING out! Too bad I have to work tonight and won't be able to go on a walk with the family (sad face). I'm currently wearing a spagetti strap with jeans. Wish they were shorts but my white legs should never be seen out so for now their jeans. I have made the first couple steps to getting back to my pre-baby body. I've signed up for Genisis and my trainer has me on a plan to work toward my goals. My goals are as follows: My stomach to look like or at least come close to what it was when I met allan and to tone up my arms, theighs, calves, and butt! I've had my membership 3 days and already tore tendants in my elbows (according to J-my trainer), but I should be as good as new monday to start lifting again. I've also bought 400 minutes from Celsius Tan. I'm not going all out, but want to get that pre-summer glow.
Today's weight: 131.4
Body Fat: 18%
There is no goal for weight. I'm tired of looking at the scale but J wants me right around 135 in 6 weeks with around 11-12% body fat so we'll see.

Burklee's doing good! No more falls! Trying to cut 2 upper teeth, not really fussy but some days I feel the bumps preparing them to come down then other days, nothing. Eating solids such as animal and graham crackers, also bananas but thats about it.

Sunday morning Allan told me my car was for sale on Criagslist. I was shocked but he knew I didn't like the gas mileage. A lot easier to get the stroller out of and be able to take the dogs on trips but anyways. I said 2 days, if it doesn't sell in two days, we're not selling it. Later that day, we had someone interested. They called back an hour later asking if they could come look at it and possibly buy it monday afternoon or early evening. They bought it. So allan bought my a 2004 Ford Focus. It's nice, i guess. Not for the stroller and the dogs but so much better on gas mileage.

We have an open house this sunday and we've had a few people come look in the last couple day. I don't really know what our plans are if we sell. Building next to the small house in Con is not an option anymore though. We talked last night about how we would be putting so much money into the house of our dreams and the view would completely such. Its and alley with other houses. If we building on a hill, I want a view. Anything. It could be the town or a field but not an alley with other houses and junk. I would still love to have my business out of the house, I need a studio and fast. I've had 3 people interested in the last week that wanted studio sessions. I could easily set up in their house but its just such a hassle to set up then take down. There's an auction in Seneca next week for a photographers studio. Everything Must Go kinda auction. I'm def. going. Should be exciting. Haven't been to an auction in a few years now. But that really is about everything for now....

Happy Hump Day!

So...last friday, after work, I got in my car to find these gorgeous flowers with a love note from my husband, I mean boyfriend for the weekend. The next morning, I got breakfast in bed, but not before telling him how to make waffles, pancakes, and how to use the griddle. Then sunday, we dropped burklee off with my mom and headed to wichita for the day. We did tons of shopping for burk and I picked up a couple cute things from Hollister! $100 capris for $15 and a new shaw/sweater thing (which I've bought probably 5 in the last couple months-I'm in l.o.v.e!) originally $89 for $12 (pictures at bottom)

Some of Burklee's new spring clothes!

A teaser of what I got for one of my besties babies!

And another besties baby!

I seen this shirt, and thought O.M.G.-Allan would love this shirt...if only it were bigger!

My new outfit...

And...another view...(can you tell I'm excited about it?)

And I've been trying to get some cool effects with my flash...and here they are!

That is all...for now!

Very eventful week...

In my last blog I said that its not such a good thing burklee can stand up along side his crib and likes to reach over for his stuff animals. He also likes to lean until he can see himself in the mirror on his closet door. Def. not a good thing. He fell out of his crib onto our hard wood flooring. He was leaning and I thought since I was standing A FOOT AWAY he would be fine...i thought wrong. I turned around to tell allan we needed to lower his crib...and smash...and cry! I picked him up and he was fine after awhile...needless to say, he fell again two more time (not out of crib-but just from sitting or standing to the floor) within the next 12 hours and I like to say, he's officially 100% BOY!

I've had 3 baby session within the last week and here a few from them...

So that pretty much sums up my last week....And of course, here's a few of Burklee...
