He is now sleeping at least 5 hours most nights. Sometimes 4. Sometimes 6 or 7. He loves watching Burk run past him all day and eats 6-7 ounces at a time. I just love watching him change everyday. Here are some pictures over the past month!

2 months already?!?
So its been a month since my last post and 2 months since we had bartelbe (well 2 months tomorrow). We tried for almost a year to get pregnant with Bart and when we finally did, I didn't know if I was as happy as I thought I would be. Then with the morning sickness being as horrible as it had, I was unsure how I felt about being pregnant. Well...I can definitely say I could not picture my life without my baby boy. He makes me so happy so see his smiling face...even at 3am. I miss being pregnant with him and feeling him inside me.

little boys pants..
I was interested in sewing about 2 years ago. My grandmother bought me a starter sewing machine (one of those on the go ones), which lasted about a month, then Allan bought me a singer traditional for a late xmas gift. I've done a few things up until a year ago. Then it became my "go to thing". Whenever I was feeling upset, sad, or had a lot on my mind, I would sit at my sewing machine and just go for hours. I know do all kinds of things...dresses, bibs, burp cloths, and so forth. I've been really nervous about doing clothing for my boys until a few months ago. I came across a tutorial for pants and completely fell in love with them. I actually made an entire weeks worth of shorts for Burklee back when we took a little family vacation. And then today, took another wack at it for Bartelbe. Here's the link over at Made. And here a few of my examples...
I actually have quite a few different designs for Burklee but for some only photograph the red striped seersucker ones.
normal?!?!
So its been 3 weeks since we were blessed with our 2nd boy. There have been many differences between the two. I remember being overly excited and completely sleep-deprived in the first couple of weeks with Burklee (my 2 yr old), but this time..I had horrible postpartum depression and would cry over anything and everything but at the same time I'm feeling really good about how much sleep I'm getting. Bartelbe sleeps for a good 4-4.5 hrs, wakes up, eats, gets changed, and then sleeps again for another 3 hrs before getting up for the day. Our lives are actually getting back to normal. Allan wakes up and heads to work. I wake up, get the boys up and ready for the day, work on sewing/crafts/etc., allan comes home from work, naps in the afternoon (if I'm lucky), do a little house work, read to burklee, Allan comes home and we have family time until baths/bed.

the story..
I told you I would post the entire story of Bartelbe's birth but unfortunately there's no horrible birth story here. My mom had kept Burklee for a few nights before we had Bartelbe and Allan and I went up to the hospital at 10am in hopes of having our boy by noon. I had a c-section with a spinal so I could be awake for the procedure. Things went surprisingly fast this time and we heard his little lungs for the first time at 12:21pm. Allan was in charge of taking pictures again so he went into the next room while they started on his first assessment, weighing, washing, etc. I was able to hold him real quick before they headed into that next room. We spent a long time deciding on what to name him. It was between Carlyle and Lethareo and we ended up going with Bartelbe Lethareo Charles Jackson.
Bartelbe and Lethareo are from movies both Allan and I love. Ever since Allan and I started dating, movies has always been our thing. My mother gets onto us because we're constantly quoting movies in our everyday lives and most of the time, no one understands us, but us! And as meaningless as it sounds to have heard those names on movies, we put that past us and decided we loved them no matter what. Yes, "lothario" means something that most people do not approve of but our son's name is Lethareo and it fits him perfectly already. Charles comes from both Allan and my grandfather's name. Allan lost his grandfather before we met but I'm always told that I would've loved him. And I know he meant a lot to Allan. He's always telling me stories about him. My grandfather passed last year and it has been one of the hardest things I've dealt with. He was the strongest and most sensitive man I've ever known. He was not afraid of telling you what he truly thought and he would spend hours with Burklee on his lap watching Wheel of Fortune and football.
We spend two days in the hospital with such great help from our nurses and left on Thursday with the help from my mom. And we've been lounging ever since.
We appreciate everything everyone has done for us in the past couple of weeks. It really means a lot to us!
And thats our little story of Bartelbe.

Bartelbe Lethareo...
So we had our little boy on Oct 4th at 12:21pm weighing in at 6lbs, 11oz and 19 inches long. His full name is Bartelbe Lethareo Charles Jackson. I'll have the full story a bit later when I have more time for an actual update but here are a few pictures. (just to warn you: you will see his little boy parts and me breast feeding but its too beautiful not to share.)
Like I said, I'll finish the full story a bit later.

Getting along...
So, its been awhile..again!
We found out we're having a boy! He's a little smaller than burklee was at this point, but he's healthy and doing great! I had a dr. appt this morning and we're going with a c-section repeat. He wanted me to try a VBAC but after discussing all the risks with him, we decided to keep it "safer" and do the repeat...so we're looking at Oct 4th! Burklee is adapting well. We've switched room recently here in concordia and the boys now have the larger room. Both beds are in there and burklee knows the baby will be sleeping there too!
We've slowly been redoing our rental we're living in right now. We're gutting almost everything a little at a time. We've started with the bathroom which was supposed to be a quick replacement of the bathtub, vanity, and toilet has now turned into taking everything out including the sheetrock. We're redoing the layout to have a little extra room, putting everything new back in from floor to celling which will put us into the kitchen next. We're stumped on what to do with it but I do know I want all white kitchen cabinets with an anitiqued island. We've already done the island which is cute I must say! I made curtains for it to have extra storage underneath and the back is chalkboard for burklee. The layout of the kitchen is so akward so we'll be doing a little more construction to it as well. The boys' room got a fresh coat of paint last week to match their theme of "vintage Jack and Jill"...and hopefully around Christmas we will get rid of the god awful blue shag carpet. Its driving me nuts! I want my all wood flooring back..its probably what I miss most about our house in Salina..yes, it was a little more noisy with the dogs and burklee but it kept the house so much cooler and come on...it wasn't blue shag carpet! But enough about our house!
There's not much else to report...business is going good, getting a little slow but thats okay because so am I and I take my maternity leave here in 2 weeks. I'm taking off 4 weeks then starting back up with 2 back to back weddings!
We lost our great dane Kellie a couple months back right after we moved here. Allan found her in the pin just laying there so we burried her in our open lot. We wanted to bury her under her favorite willow tree but the tree was so old and the roots so thick, we got as close as we could. It was extremely hard at first but its getting easier. She was like my daughter since apparently I will be a mother of only boys! We've talked about getting another great dane but want to see how everything is going to play out with 2 children!

wow...its been awhile my lonely sad blog!
I honestly tried months and months to post..but our internet at home would never let me upload my post after typing it all out! So we're trying again....
We've moved to Concordia this last weekend and Burklee is now shy of 22 months, my business is in full swing now booking more than I can handle at this point, oh and I'm pregnant!!
I'm not sure who if anyone at all reads this blog, but if you do..thanks!
Burklee updates:
He calls me anna or daddy now,
can also say peas (please), tank ew (thank you), night night, kellie, rennie (aunt arenda), boo (aunt amber), kiss (uncle chris), dog, eat, yes, no, fine (as in "burklee pick your toys up", "fine!"), oh no, out, gamah (grandma), papa (grandpa butch and occasionally papa jim jim), and pisa pisa (pizza pizza).
He can run, jump, dance, eat with a fork all by himself (or he refuses to eat), colors, loves loves loves the shows or movies: yo gabba gabba, santa clause, happy feet, and cars~
He'll eat almost anything at this point but actually doesn't like icecream all that much!
My updates:
I'm 14 weeks along and we'll find out if its a boy or a girl in about 2 months, we're very excited but very anxious too! Right now we're not concerned with the sex, decorating, or planning...we're just concentrating on me gaining weight and getting healthy! I've been loosing a lot of weight since I got pregnant (worse than I did with burklee), and the baby is smaller than they would like it to be but has a very healthy heartbeat! Like I said my business is taking off and is so much fun! I love meeting with new clients and when they have new ideas..I get so excited I can hardly stand it. I did my first shoot this week with a couple and their horses and two weeks ago, I did easter pictures with real chickens and ducks!!
Allan's news:
He doesn't have to drive anymore..which is the #1 reason why we moved and he's loving it. He gets to come home for lunch to see us and gets 2 hours off the road everyday (which was making him a little cranky and hard to be around when he got home). He's not excited about all the unpacking and decorating we have ahead of us, wants to get rid of all the dogs by the time the new baby is here, but I think he's a lot happier since we're here.
Not much else to report..so here are some pictures!
