2010!!!

So I was trying to hit 100 post befor the new year but I guess it won't happen!

Burklee is with my mom tonight. She's having a kid party at my aunt and uncles house. Watching my 2 cousins Bella and Caleb. Bella is almost 2 weeks old and just under 5lbs. Caleb is I think 7 or 8 and he's having a couple friends over so it should be a full house. We're having some friends over. Playing some Wii and just hanging out! I made lil' smokies, two different kinds of chip dip, cut up some cheese, sausage, with crackers. Made some "happy" punch. Sherbert and 7up (which is what I make at EVERY occassion) but with a little kick. So we kept him on his stomach and just kept an extra careful eye on him. HE. LOVED. "SWIMMING". I don't think he's ever been thtat happy before. So I guess we'll see ya next year!!!

Christmas....well and thanksgiving! lots and lots of pictures

So I made the chocolate turkeys for thanksgiving and I never posted a picture...it was super easy and super fun.

Overall, burklee got tons of toys and some new clothes (good thing-he just filled a tub of clothes that are too small today), baby can read, a carseat, books, chuck taylor red high top shoes...
Allan got an iTouch, sears gift cards, clothes, tools...
And I got almost all my studio lighting and backgrounds, photoshop CS4 Extended, clothes, a beginner sewing machine...

I am so blessed to have such wonderful family that love and support us! I love each and every one of you!!!

BIG news!

So Burklee is getting so big lately. He sits up now, holds his own bottle, and has been sleeping in his own bed for over a week now. It takes some rocking now but I can handle that as long as I still get an entire nights sleep. So our BIG news is we are most likely moving back to concordia. Allan'a gpa wants to get rid of all the rentals he has...so we're buying 1 of 5 of them which also comes with a huge shop/garage building and quite a bit of land which we eventually build a new house on. Allan's best friend is a contractor and said he would charge hourly and if allan wants to help he can. We won't have him do much to the inside b/c all that can be done slowly while we're living in the other house. I found the floor plan I would like to have and....it would have a basement unlike this house. We meet with the bank on monday to discuss everthing. The only setbacks are.....
~we found a church we really like in salina
~no ymca for burklee...I was really excited for him to take swim lessons
~away from my family ...who I'm used to seeing on a daily basis

So....what I think is that...we will come back to salina 1-2 days a week for church, swim lessons, and catch up with family....and if we could do the lessons on a sunday, that would work out even more perfect.

Its all just going to be a long process so we'll see what happens!

More burk news--we bought baby can read and at first he hated it and now he loves watching it...and chewing on the flash cards. I can't wait till his first x-mas. I also just bought his "baby's first Christmas stocking"---so cute!

burklee update...he likes singing!

Well when we sing at least! Some cute little things he's been doing lately...

~sucks on his feet (which stink by the way so I'm constantly cleaning them)
~He giggles and grabs your cheeks when you sing to him!
~goes from sitting on his bottom to his laying on his stomach to his back
~scoots backwards (and tried to go up my grandma's stairs-backwards)
~goes to bed around 10 and wakes up around 5 to eat then back to bed till 9
~He's retired his baby swing (but we have no where to store it)
~Loves Loves Loves to cuddle with the puppies
~Wears 12 months-18 months clothes (2T to bed)
~loves looking at the Christmas Tree

Today we had a mommy-burklee lounge day. I didn't feel too good, I think I have a stomach flu and he hasn't been himself lately....Ever since we gave him green beans a couple days ago...he's been a little cranky and we have to change diapers every hour to 1 1/2 hours! yah-not. He has been moving around sooo much lately. I look over and he's off his blanket or at the other end of his crib.
I kept singing him a song today (Gilmore Girls theme song). It was stuck in my head from yesterday..so anyways. I woke him up from his afternoon nap today and put in Gilmore Girls. He was screaming until he heard the song! Looked straight at the tv and just smiled...It was so precious.

Thats about it for now...Oh weighed Burk a couple days ago and he weighed in at just under 22 lbs!!! WOW!

It's The Same Color

So we've started Burklee on green beans this week.....HE LOVES THEM! and i mean it..i've never seen a baby go after something he wanted so badly. And by the title of my blog...you can guess whats the same color. Although he hasn't been sleeping through the night...at all, I love him so much for loving his food.

He weighed in just under 20 lbs last week...I can't wait till he learns to walk....or at least crawl. We've decided to let him learn everything (as of now) on his own. He doens't seem to want to learn to crawl...so we're not forcing him.


We have family pictures with allan's side of the family this weekend and pretty pumped up about it. We have Burklee's outfit picked out except shoes, allan's all picked out...and mine...well i still need a sweater!

Tonight I'm making mushroom porkshops, stuffing, veggies, and cinnomon rolls for desert-(well an appetizer b/c we're hungry now)

So...its been awhile

I don't actually thinks anyone reads this but I'm thinking about printing my entire blog out....(maybe a little edited) and give to burk on his 1st birthday....

We went and seen my great gma Betty today-would be burks great great grandma betty. and she gave him his xmas present early....its a cloth book (which I love love love cloth books) and its roudolf (or however you spell that) and he already loves looking at it. I'm thinking of putting it away and wrapping it again for xmas...one more thing for him to open. We're also thinking of getting the "My baby can read" program. I'm not going to be avid about him watching/"reading" everyday but I'de like to think it would help him in the long run. I also want to get him this turtle bouncer and a dr. burk scrub. Their so cute and they come with the scrub hat...and if any of you watch grey's anatomy (which is allan and I's FAVORITE show ever)...one of my favorite dr's isn't on the show anymore......his name is dr. burk! Can you tell I'm getting very excited for Burk's 1st Christmas!!!

FOOD!!!

So today Burk and I went to the dr....we were a little late. But anyways I came home last night and it was just Burklee and I all night so we could make it to the dr appt and not have to reschedule. 50 percentile on height...25 inches and 97 percentile on weight....18 lbs 5 ounces. Also, got shots. He was such a good boy too. Only cried for a tiny bit. A lot less than I thought he would.

Good news...great developmental skills and we get to start food...real food (well real to him), so tonight we tried cereal and didn't go over too well...we'll be trying again tomorrow.

Bad news (that turned out good)...burk has a lot of hair on his lower back and we used to think it was so cute...well its not. It means their spinal cord (or something) isn't developing and there could be an assist that needs to come out so we headed straight to the hospital for an unltrasound.....7 dr's later, everything was fine. At first when just the techs were there....they were reading out of a book while they did it!!!!! omg i was mad.

But overall...good day!

So lately.....

So lately, burks been very active. Some friends of ours gave us some toys to borrow and one is a stationary bouncer....burklee loves this! He gets to bouncing and just cant stop. Its halarious!
I've also been very busy with catching up on crafts...I've been working on my very own family rules canvas board...(pics to come), a couple of tutu's, getting sewing ideas and tips.
Had my first family shoot tonight and I think it turned out really well...I've looked at some and edited a few and they look great!

Also, booked my 4th wedding and start the engagement sessions next week. My best friend P got engaged and I'm so excited for her! We're doing their engagement sesssion next weekend in McPherson...if the weather allows it...Did I say how excited I am for them! I can wait!!!

Rough couple days...

So the last couple days have been so rough...well besides burklee sleeping all night long now!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! whoo hoo

but sunday night my mom watched burklee all night (for the 2nd time) and right after i had fallen asleep, my mom called me and told me my gpa went to the hospital...ambulance came to pick him up....my gma was supposed to be watching burklee all day monday b/c i had no babysitter. well i had a test monday morning then headed to salina to get burklee and had to be back in con by 4 for a mid-term (which i probably did horrible on). Got to school today...forgot my camera for my photography class. Decided to change my entire portrait album for an assignment that was due monday! oh its a mess...and ran out of formula and diapers last night so walmart in the mornings are....actually not that bad!

I'm a little nervous that burklee uses his feet instead of his hands to play with his toys, shove in our mouth, etc. So we'll see what happens when we go bakc to the dr in a couple weeks!!

October 15th

So I read on a blog I read that today is Pregnancy and Infant Loss Remembrance Day. It breaks my heart that there is a day for this but I'm writing this blog entry for my little brother who lost his life to SIDS and other the other babies close to me-i hold a place in my heart for each and every one of them. I pray the numbers of infant death goes down each year. Unfortunately here are some of the stats....

SIDS take the lives from 7000 babies each year nationally.

Miscarriage rate is 15-20% but can be even higher b/c miscarriage can often occur before a woman even knows she is pregnant.

There were many other stats but too sad to write and when I see the numbers, I just start to bawl.

For the women that read this and have lost someone, I'll continue to pray for you.

We are so incredibly lucky to have such a healthy boy and I pray for him all the time. It makes it so much harder that he's not here right now!

Relaxing.....

So instead of that relaxing thing I was talking about doing in my last post...we went to the........................Blake Shelton concert. My mom got us tickets. So with great seats and no beer in our hands- :( (3.50 a can-dont' think so) we heard some pretty good music. Overall, had a blast. Gma watched Burklee and Gma B will be watching him again tomorrow night and Gma Dee watching him till 8pm monday....I'm gonna miss my boy sooo much! (love you burk)

Night without Burk-man!

So last night went really good without burklee. I woke up at 2 (not remembering he wasn't here) and check on him in his bassinet! Got A.LOT. of sleep. Woke up to a phone call about my brother and his friend getting jumped but2 guys from brookville and about 20 black guys! My brother might have a broken nose and his face is swollen and bruised. His friend was admitted in the hospital with broken ribs! Allan isn't too happy about any of it and thinks he need to get involved! I told them all to let it go cuz you don't want it happening again or getting worse! I can't believe this is somthing thats happening in my life! When are people going to learn to grow up and act their age?

Today we're headed to the HUGE garage sale at the bi-center, then to a baby shower (got the gift basket at home-i'll upload the pic later), then kohls for their sale on baby clothes, then relaxing.

Tomorrow I have a family and teen shoot, 2 hours of work at the maclab, burklee shoot for a project, then bed and midterms on monday! yah-not

But for now, I have a cute funny pic of burklee....don't mind the clean clothes that needs folding in the background....but doesn't he look sooooo long?

So tonight, burklee's staying with gma B and i'm officially a nervous wreck. Hope I get some sleep b/c thats the whole point. I haven't gotten any sleep in the last two night....last night was horrible so my mom offered to help us out. She doesn't sleep hardly at all when babies are in the house b/c of my brother so I know he's in good hands!

Sleeping in his crib....

Yes-i said it, sleeping in his crib-as we speak! Tried again last night, but didn't work...actually sleeping last night was very rare in this house-except for my husband who sleeps through anything it seems like. So Burks been extra cranky today. After a bath, breakfast, and a diaper change, starting crying..again! So i plut him in his crib to cry by himself. Before his mobile stopped which only plays 3 minutes, he was out like lightbulb! So i'm doing a little online shopping b/c for some reason I got rid of all our winter clothes! they are no where to be found so....i get to go shopping!
Also, we are contemplating getting rid of walter..we love him so much and I'm actually starting to work with him...and he listens, but we go thru so much dog food. Right now we are go thru 1 bag a week which is $25. Allans the one that came up with the idea to get rid of him but I think we can make it work. Once I get our hospital and shop bill paid off in two weeks, we'll have the extra money and it won't be a big deal so as of right now if we come across a really good home that wants a large breed dog, we have some choices to make. :(
On a happier note-we found Burklee's halloween costume (and no I'm not telling). Its so cute and just fits him perfectly...stay tuned to see what it is!

Crazy Month!

So the next is the busiest I've ever had! Trying to get my business off on the right foot including two family shoots and one teen shoot and updating the website, 4baby showers (aunt, cousin, cousin, sister-in-law), school, 2 dr appointments, and mid-terms. Two girls and two unknown. I'm so excited b/c I've never had the chance to buy for a girl. I started today with a two outfit set w/ pants and a bib, set of 3 singlets, socks, shoes, and recieving blankets! It made me want a little girl sooo bad! i was thinking of doing a couple diaper cakes (their my fav) but don't really have the time!

Burklee was such a turd last night...did not want to sleep at all. I'm trying so hard to get him to stop eating in the night, so much harder than it sounds...he loves to eat! (he had cankles) I gave in last night and it didn't even help!

New Camera?

So I've been thinking about getting a new camera. I know I know...its been less than a year since I've had my D80 but I've been looking at a D300. If i wait a little while, I might be looking at a D700. I'm so excited. So yes, I'll be selling my D80! I've been taking tons of pics for my advanced digital imaging class and have a family shoot this weekend. Over this last weekend, I made a family session appt and a booked a wedding! So its getting pretty busy. Also I have 3 baby showers in the next month, casino weekend with hubby! so busy!

We've been talking about remodeling our house. Adding on won't come until at least 5 more years or until we absolutely need it. But we've decided to replace all our windows in the spring but we're purchasing them by the end of the year to get our tax rebate. Then no bay window in the front but instead doing a deck int he front and mabye the back deck the follwing summer.Painting our room, the living room and completely gutting the laundry room since our dogs got bored and tear out our drywall!

Burklee is doing really well. Sleeping a little better every night but still not every night. I think I have a shopping problem. I feel like I need to go everyday. I can always think of something burklee needs or i want him to have. we took our bumbo back and we're ordering a graco johnny jump up. Also, I think we decided to get a walker, stationary entertainment center for him or play gate until christmas. I'm thinking we'll just get the play gate for when we go outside.

Wal...ok Shopping!

So today Burklee and I set out to go walking at the mall but instead found myself at a sale and bought 3 shirts for for less than 10 bucks! Together! I'm so excited. I was just looking at these shirts a few weeks ago at regular price around $30 each, happened to walk by a rack today and seen they were on sale. Tried them on, thinking they would at least be 40-50 all together. The lady said 8 something...my jaw dropped! are you kidding! I was so excited. Went looking for a stocking hat for Burklee but couldn't find one at all!

I've made a list of all my goals I would like to accomplish within the next 5 years. I know they will change..on a daily basis but thats ok! I'm taking a business class and absolutely love it. I'm learning so much and they say its normal to make lists and then turn around and change them the very next day! Guess I'm pretty normal...haha. So my long-term 5 year goal is to be a full time on location photography with 2-3 sessions a week and begin to look for a location to move into! The price of commercial buildings are crazy around here so I'm thinking that goal will change but I would still like to be looking around the time I'm 26.

Allan and I decided to take a very small vaca at the end of this month. Just up to topeka to go gambling and stay the night in a hotel...which will be so nice to be able to sleep through the entire night! My mom will be watching Burklee all night which will be the first night for him to stay over anywhere with someone other than Allan and I so I'm really hoping I let it go and can sleep that night!

Well we spent most of the weekend in Concordia. Fall Fest, f-i-l bday, and school. I was freaking out about my speech in public speaking when it turns out we were doing them in groups and we got to pick who we spoke in front of. I was teamed up with my brother (chris s.), heather, and chris h. Chris h is a quiet kid in our class. His speech was about not having any friends in concordia and how his cell phone is his life line to his friends and family back home in salina. He kept talking and reminded my a lot of my brother. So when we were walking out, I told my brother he should invite him to one of his parties so they exchanged numbers and agreed to meet up. I just got on facebook to add him as a friend and his status was....had a really great time in my least favorite class. things might be turning around. I'm so excited, i hope he comes to hang out with my brother cuz thats the one thing i regret the most was not making any friends my freshman year and hating school. It would have been a lot better/easier if I had someone around to talk to.

On Burklee's note---he's doing pretty good. Still has a little flem built up but doing very good. He's learing to cough it out better. Getting very active...moving his arms and legs but we're having a hard time getting him to sleep in his crib. We tried last night and he just laughs while he's in there. So after I rocked him a little, we went right to sleep but got up an hour later to eat and wouldn't go back in. All day yesterday, I tired getting him to take his naps without me holding him in my arms....didn't go very well. So he didn't get a nap at all yesterday. woke up at 6 am and didn't go to bed till 9:30. I may rock him to sleep once today and try putting him in his crib for his nap. We'll see! I have a family session this weekend. I'm super pumped! Things might be starting up for my photography business.

dr news...

So the dr said burklee is cutting 3 or 4 teeth and is one of those kids whos nose runs constantly and slobbers all over and that when he sleeps, it might slide down the back of his throad which makes him cough. She doesn' think he has a cold anymore...of course when I get there, he looks, sounds, and acts fine (except for throwing up all over me, him, and the table). He's done fine since, which, this morning when i got a huge glob of snot out of the back of throat...might have had something to do with that!!!

I've spent the last 3 hours cleaning our house....burks room (check), kitchen (check), living room (check)...bathroom (half check)...good enough for my day off.

Oh I have a family session next weekend and a senior session interest! I'm so excited...kinda! Wanted to put if off for awhile...allan's not really letting that happen!

Thats news for a day....

So today Burk and I are going to head to the dr b/c his cold isn't lightening up and its been almost a week. Thanks to my dad, Burk and I went shopping tuesday....he got a bebe pod (other version of a bumbo with a higher back-don't know if its the knock off version b/c we actually paid more for it), a new outfit (thermal onsie, matching pants and sweater), news toys, diapers. Then last week my mom got him a pack of 5 new onsies, the cutest outfit ever, has onsie, jacket, and pants. Also, got me a new bra (woot woot) i hate spending 50 bucks on them, so i only get a new one every once in awhile..my mom thought i needed a treat so got me one. and allan a new tapout shirt. So i guess you could say, we're shopped out!

So anyways, the news.....babies!!!

Blog!

So i've decided I'm an open book! I don't think I need to make my blog private, I trust the very little readers I have! And not everyone can read since they don't have a google account. Sorry for the inconvience!

Burklee---doing very good! Feel like I need to get to know him all over again. I hate just watching him for across the room and not being able to just hold him all day long. And I think its hit him hard too--not being able to be held all day! My gma has been watching him for me during the day and Allan is doing a wonderful job taking care of him at night. Which by the way, the one night Allan watches him, he sleeps 9 hours without waking up! ugh! no thats actually really good!

Sick Sick Sick (a little too much info)

So monday morning i woke up with a swollen throat...no biggie right? wrong.

Tuesday morning woke up, throat almost completely shut, watery eyes and nose, headache thru my entire head....
Tuesday night (11:30p.m.) woke up, ran to the bathroom to throw up, start walking back to bed....start my period.. seriously? Oh thats not it. Burklee has been sleeping thru the night up until last week when we stayed in con for a couple nights, it thru him off so he's waking up again every 3-4 hours. So when I finally got everything (almost) under control. I lay in bed...and wake burklee up so i have to feed him but didn't change him...bad idea! 6a.m. allan is trying to get out the door for work, burklee had wet "our" bed. the wet spot was as big as his entire body. so change baby, clean baby, feed baby, change sheets, clean mattress, do laundry. Finally get burklee back to sleep...now I cant sleep...so i start watching grey's anatomy season 5....and cry my eyes out only to wake burklee back up and now we are sitting in our "very clean" living room. I went on a cleaning spree yesterday to try getting over my head cold, sinus infection, whatever it is.
So today, wednesday, missing a test, studio photography (which I needed), and my brothers court to try getting over it. Trying to stay away from Burklee so tomorrow, I have a feeling he wont remember who I am. haha lets not hope so! I still talk to him, just across the room...and I'm disinfecting EVERYTHING i touch!!!

Debating cont. and tiny update....

So i finished cleaning, didn't make dinner, decided to not try to have another baby but if it happens, it happens, woke burklee up and fed him, stick with photography, still looking into moving to concordia, making 3 batches was a little too much, i want a play yard but not until christmas, not going to san diego next month (could use the money for something else), and didn't decorate for fall.

Burklee has gotten so much personality lately...giggling, laughing, and talking!!! He still loves his baths but he gets a little confused at first, but just splashes like crazy! We headed to the dr friday but it was a waste. Thought he had a cold but it was nothing, the dr just said to delute his bottles with gadorade or pedialite...um gatorade. i don't think so. He's wanting to push with his legs all the time now, thats how he waked my up..haha. My mom and stepdad took me, allan, and burklee to the state fair. We had a lot of fun! Thought it would be rainy but it ended up being pretty nice.

Allan's been working a lot lately on people's cars other than at work. don't know how i feel about him not at home a lot, but he feels like he needs to so i let him.

Other than that, its going pretty much like it always does!

Not only do I have a list of things to decide on but also do....my crafts are building up and I think its going to take two straight weekends to finish...sand/paint burks new 1950's car from my dad, plexiglass calendar, flower shelf, new taggy blanket for burk, whats for dinner plexiglass menu, i can't even think of half of them....oh well hope they get done someday...

So last night after eating a little Carlos, allan and i headed over to Old Navy to find that their swim wear is only.......97cents..I got a top but couldn't find any bottoms...all xs or small so i just got some new running shorts. So today is saturday...i'm full of energy (for once) and ready to hit the road and head towards con. Its our lazy weekend. Burklee slept all night and we. are. ready!!

Adventures with Uncle Bumps

So tonight we headed over to Gma's house to eat and see everyone before the weekend gets here....Uncle Bumps (aka Bryce) wanted to hold Burklee. and if anyone knows bryce knows that its all about appreances with him. He has to look at all times, even going to bed, he has to wear top brands and nothing can get on his clothes....he obbsesses so much, he takes a shower if he "feels" dirty. So he's sitting in the living room all by himself (with burklee in his arms) and all of a sudden bryce is "quietly" hollaring for allan or me to come get burklee (holding burklee out like he doesn't want to touch him). Everyone being confused just looked at bryce to find that when he stood up, burklee had peed thru his singlet and onto Bryce which led bryce running upstairs to get different clothes, first the laundry room to get his clothes in the wash then to the shower....i love you uncle bumps!

We need to find a name to Uncle Chris!

Recent News-Burklee loves loves loves bath time! He took his first full plunge in the water bath two nights ago and now gets one every night. once he realizes he's in water and everythings ok, he splashes and giggles the entire time! No longer fits his 3-6 month clothes-eeek! So a little shopping is due soon!

Oh Trial Nights #6 & 7

So i forgot....trial night 6 complete failure but..........#7 AMAZING! 8 full hours of sleep! I woke up confused yet refreshed! Its been so long, months and I do mean months! Almost a year! Puking, peeing, (me), feeding, and changing (obviously Burklee)! I was in Wal-Mart today just starring at the rice cereal....a night like last night every night would be very nice!!! Dr. B said, when we first met with her said no cereal until 6 months but Burk's last visit, she said he would be ready at 4 months. Yah!

Being the first day of Sept and all...

So with it being Sept. 1st, i've already started planning christmas.....Skip fall, halloween, and thanksgiving...I'm ready for Christmas!!!! I can't wait to see Burklee's face when we put the tree up or go pick out decorations. K-dont skip fall....my favorite weather but do go by fast. Christmas also means Ill be done with school!!! Thats all!

Trial Nights #4 & 5=Failure

So the last couple night have been pretty bad. He's been sleeping about 4-5 hours, which is nice-don't get me wrong, but all night would have been amazing. Guessing it was the tylenol...hmmmm. just kidding. He's been talking (cooing) like crazy. Its almost as if you do something, he wants to do it too so he stares and waits a minute than does something. Forgot the other day to tell you how the dr went. 13 lbs 7 oz naked, i weighed him again when she went out of the room with his diaper and a recieving blanket....13 lbs, 11 oz.....which means cereal in two months instead of four. 23 inches. He's wearing 3-6 month onsies. She said he's super advanced for his age. Wants to stand, all developmental skills are great. So here in another month, I'm taking a shopping trip to Babies R Us to get some toys!!!!! yah.
Also, we've been going back and forth on the fence about having another baby right away...we decided as of right now, it would be great to wait awhile but if it happens, it happens.
I think we're taking our first vacation to San Diego in the spring. Leave on a Thursday morning and come back the next Wednesday. I love to plan it during a flea market, I hear they go for miles on end....i love flea markets

Trail Night #3=Success

Last night Burklee slept through the entrie night. Dont know if it was b/c of the tylenol or if he's routine is finally kicking in but it was so nice....and.........no wet spots on the bed, his clothes or anything!!!! YAHHHH!!!!!!!

So the shots are over! thank goodness. the last one the only bad one but with a dose of tylenol and grandma's lovin, the afternoon has actually been pretty quiet. We did our walmart neccessity shopping, a little house cleaning, ans now a red velvet double layer inappropriate cake for my brother's sweet 16. I do a different shape every year and this one should be pretty fun...just letting the cakes cool off now. ready to decorate in a few. Sorry there won't be any pictures of it...it would def. turn your faces red!!!

Last night was trial #2 of Burklee sleeping through the night. slept about 7 hours before he started getting restless..quick feeding and back to bed. All though it ended with me washing two sheets, one onsie (singlet), and one very dirty baby this morning.

Tomorrow Burklee goes to get his 1st set of shots....and i have to go by myself. I'm so scared for him. I know I'm going to cry. Lately he's been addicted to the tv. no matter where he's sitting, he finds his way to stare at it whether he's upside down, sideways, clear across the room, wherever! So....we are currently looking for some learning dvd's to play...watching it calms him down and i don't really like him watching mtv.
I haven't discussed this with allan but i just think there's too much going on right now for us to move back to con...at least right now anyways but i would def like to if the chance came along. Not much else is going on...schools going good, bryce's bday is tomorrow...big 16. mine was a couple days ago. 5-6 drinks of a bahama mama and it was enough for me. allan got me tons of clothes, a phone, and i consider that laptop to be a gift too. it was perfect. also got some jewelry from my s-i-l's., money, had bday cake with my mom, brother, gma, gpa, allan, and burk. and a bbq with allan's side and chris. it was such a good bday!

So I've recently been addicted to this blog www.thewoodfolks.blogspot.com and its so funny b/c I think I'm like her in a way...or at least she's my witty fun side that I don't use a whole lot. So here's some random thoughts she had that I've either thought about, said, or I totally agree with but don't think I would ever say....

I wish Google Maps had an "Avoid Ghetto" routing option.

More ofen than not, when someone is telling me a story all I can think about is that I can't wait for them to finish so that I can tell my own story that's not only better, but also more directly involves me.

Nothing sucks more than that moment during an argument when you realize you're wrong.

I totally take back all those times I didn't want to nap when I was younger.

I think everyone has a movie that they love so much, it actually becomes stressful to watch it with other people. I'll end up wasting 90 min shiftily glancing around to confirm that everyone's laughing at the right parts, then making sure I laugh just a little bit harder (and a millisecond earlier) to prove that I'm still the only one who really, really gets it.

I have a hard time deciphering the fine line between boredom and hunger.

Lol has gone from meaning, "laugh out loud" to "I have nothing else to say".

When I meet a new girl, I'm terrified of mentioning something she hasn't already told me but that I've learned from some light internet stalking.

Why is a school zone 20 mph? That seems like the optimal cruising speed for pedophiles...

Sometimes I'll look down at my watch 3 consecutive times and still not know what time it is.



Allan's all time favorite because he says this all the time....Is it just me or do high school girls get sluttier and sluttier every year?

And my ALL TIME FAVORITE b/c this is me exactly....Whenever I'm Facebook stalking someone and I find out that their profile is public I feel like a kid on Christmas morning who just got a Red Ryder BB gun that I always wanted. 546 pictures? Dont' mind if I do!

So today is thursday

Yes! Thursday. Had my first day of classes yesterday....homework already!!! Taking Burklee to classes on Fridays...haha. Things are getting stressful at home...but at the same time so much easier. Burklee is sleeping better at night even though last night he woke up a few times. He kept gagging and choking (thats so not how you spell that), and as of right now waiting for the nurse to call me back to see if we can get in. Most likely won't be until this afternoon. I think with my bookbag, diaper bag, camera bag, and burklee in his extremely heaving carseat (wanting a new one) walking up the hill at cloud to my car, I'll be able to not only loose the baby fat i still have but maybe even tone up a bit. It reminds me of that story about the witch wanting the boy to carry the pig up the mountain everyday so his muscles build as so does the pig...not calling my son a pig, just reminds me! We're also running out of clothes for him...he's now in between 0-3 and 3-6. Some are still way too big but some of his 0-3 are way to small. Today's my first day in awhile to just relax at home but I still have about 4 loads of laundry, dishes, clean the living room, our bedroom, burklee's room (how that room gets so messy and he's never in there is beyond me), sweep the back porch, go visit Aunt Arin, leave for park city at 5 with my mom....not much relaxing. No new pics for now! sorry

a little early...

It's a little early to talk about our weekend but...oh well. We did pretty much nothing.

Friday...bingo-no win for me! big surprize

Saturday...allan helped my mom load up a washer, dryer, and stove to brookville. walked and ate at the mall twice. Visited aunt a#4. twice. window shopped for my birthday and went to bed early. Bought new bottles, soothies since he's addicted to his soothie binky. They work so good!!! I'm glad we got them instead of the Dr. Brown's.

Sunday...tried going to church but...forgot the binky and well...you all know how that would end up. We left after worship. Waiting for my in-laws to call and grab something to eat....

oh, picked some tomatoes and one carrot. got a pedi today (after pulling weeds, plants, and picking veggies). Start classes wednesday and Burklee goes to the dr on the 27th. Thats about it!!!

Good News

So I'm officially writting this blog entry on my new laptop...I'm so excited. It was very spur of the moment...Allan's uncle seen it on sale in the paper and said it was really really nice and a great bargain that we couldn't pass up....I'm so excited! Its intended to be for my business which I'm getting very excited about also. I thought it would be a lot harder than it actually is. Allan's uncle...again...is going to help out with taxes for it and everything so when it comes time and I finally start making appointments, I can be ready!

We had our garage sale yesterday and today. We didn't advertise so it go as planned but we'll have it again in a few weeks after putting it in the paper!

I start school in less than two weeks and still haven't found a babysitter. Its only two hours monday, wednesday, and friday and I'm not wanting to pay a minimum fee of 30 hours when I only need 6. My m-i-l said she would watch him from 4-5 mondays when I have my night classe till 7.

We are still looking into moving to concordia...we really want to. I would rather start my business there instead of salina. There is only 1 studio photographer in con vs. 8 in salina...not including home business photographers.

Burklee is doing good. I got a cute picture. Some people might find it gross but I think its so cute! I'll upload it tomorrow. We go to the dr in 2 1/2 weeks. Oh he giggled last night. Well 2:30 in the morning but it was still the cutest thing I've ever heard.

So..I got a lot accomplished today. I mean A LOT!!! So. I did laundry (3 loads), swept the house, made two batches of chocolate chip cookies, pork chops, baked potatoes, and veggies. (my dad came over to see Burk so I made dinner-for once). Also finished editing my website so it should be ready anyday now, and...dishes! Doesn't sound like much but when your in the middle of holding a crying baby, feeding him, changing him, and taking care of three dogs, its a lot! Not much else to report.

So I had my 6 week check up yesterday and...got the ok to have sex and exercise! Psh! exercising, are you kiding? I do have the chance to do a little yoga or some sit-ups twice a day when Burk is down for a nap, but oh-sleeping sounds so good instead. I weighed in a whopping 137.5. Started out 113, ended up at 172. 24.5 more to go! I would be happy with only 10 more off but I really don't think my mall walking everyother night is going to cut it for long. Expecially when I get distracted! And...I can eat pizza and hot wings without getting horrible hearburn!!! That my friend, is amazing!
Teething? Grabbing? Eating?
Burklee, I swear is teething. I've never seen a baby so small drool so much! And instead of sucking on his bink, he chews on it and also chews on everything else. His fists, blankets, bottles. He's learning to grab at things too. My nose (when I kiss him), kellie, his toys on his tummy time mat, his hair, his ears, his cheeks. I woke up to him laughing. Probably wasn't real laughing but it was so cute, even if it was only for a little gas bubbles. We're up to 4 ounces every 3 1/2 hours! Oh does that boy eat. He's finally getting that baby fat. Little wrinkles on his arms, neck, and legs! Its so cute!

It still so sureal to me! To have a baby, a baby that was in my stomach, that I felt. And here he is just sitting next to me! Allan still says it feels like we're babysitting.
Co-Sleeping!
We decided that co-sleeping is right for us. It makes us sleep better and Burklee gets a full night of sleep instead of a few hours. We don't move, don't use drugs or alcohol (that was a big issue if we should or not-to the dr's), and its nice to be able to check on him by looking over instead of getting up and walking into the other room. I haven't told my dr and don't think I'm going to, she advised us(yelled at us) never to co-sleep or let him even take his naps on a bed other than his own. Personally, I think that would be up to the parents, whatever makes a person happy and we really want this, at least for a couple more months.
Moving?
We found a house we want in Concordia. I think it would be the only reason to move back, its the only house we've liked. It would be absolutely perfect for us. Its my in-laws but their not to set in stone on selling it. It came up last night. We would pay less for it then we did our 2 bedroom, 1 bath, no basement here in salina. It has 7 bedrooms, (well 5, and 2 offices), 2 bathrooms, it would be nice to have that extra space for when we have more kids. We were talking about having another soon but in this house, we could probably only fit one more unless we added on. Which we've talked about that too! If we stay here another 4 years, the state pays $7,000 and if we stay 9 more, they pay $14,000. But adding on, which use that money up, and only add maybe two rooms at the most! And we would keep just one bathroom which is killing us now let alone with 2-3 kids. But for now, its just waiting!
I have a video, its probably nothing so some people, but I think its cute!
