so so much

I didn't realize it's been so long since I've wrote. So much has changed. (picture overload)

Burklee turned 3. We had an outdoor movie birthday party in our "lot". Allan made a big outdoor screen, we had hotdogs, popcorn, rootbeer floats, and popcorn cupcakes. He is now potty trained and working on sharing. Hopefully he starts preschool in January. He loves Thomas the Train, Diego, and Dora.

Bartelbe turned 1 this last weekend. We had a halloween themed party. Lunch was lasagna, garlic bread, fruit, witch's hair (twizlers), pumpkin guts (candy corn), earwax qtips (chocolate dipped marshmallows on a stick), and mummy cupcakes. We also carved and decorated pumpkins and he didn't care too much about opening gifts. He now walks and waves goodbye and chases his brother around to get his toys back.

He had a beautiful baby girl..Bridget Louise. She weighed in at 7lbs, 5oz and 19 1/2 inches long. Just this week, she has started looking at faces and smiling. She has always laughed. When she was a week old, it woke me. I thought she was choking but she was laughing and I figured it was something else because I had never heard of a baby laughing that early. But she has continued to do it..although its a lot louder now.

We sold our house in Salina and bought a new one in Concordia. We are going from our rental, one story, 2 bedroom, 1 bathroom, no basement to a 3 bedroom, 1 3/4 bath, half finished basement that could fit another 2 rooms. I cannot wait! All the houses we were looking at in our price range needed gutting or a lot of remodeling. This one was just over our budget but with our offer, put it back under. It was completely remodeled with paint, flooring, cabinets, and appliances. They even moved a wall in the dining room to add a  nice sized closet in the bathroom. I can't wait to finally decorate the kids' room. We spend 5 months decorating Burklee's when he was born, but since we were living in our rental for Bartelbe and Bridget, we decided to put it off. We have put a little work into the rental so hopefully can get someone in here as soon as we're out. We are planning on siding and adding new flooring next spring.

Not sure why I don't have a picture of the outside..but it sits on the side of a hill so you pull up to the garage and go up stairs to get to the front door.

Hallway. Bathroom first door on the right. Boys' room straight ahead. Our room and bridget's room to the left.

We move the first week of next month so I should have new decorated pictures!

Burklee-We're still trying the whole potty training thing. Its working some days and then other days..not so much! He says things like "oh Bartelbe, what are we going to do with you?", "mommy, these batteries are dangerous, be careful", and "daddy, I will play with your itouch when its done charging, k?" He's moved on and like movies like Matilda, Lemony Snicket, and Alice and Wonderland. Oh and he'll be THREE this saturday!

Bartelbe-8 1/2 months old, climbs everything including people, toys, the bookshelf. He still loves his bottle. Eating baby food on a daily basis and refuses to use a binky. His favorite food of the week is squash. He was sleeping thru the night for awhile but started teething again so its back to waking up twice a night. He babbles and says baba, dada, and mama (without knowing what they mean).

We found out we're having a girl and my cousin is planning a shower for me.

Allan and I found a house we both fell in love with and could see ourselves grow old there. It was originally on the market for over $100,000 but was recently foreclosed on, which we thought would be a good thing. We put an offer down for what we thought it was worth (it needs a little tlc), the bank counter offered, we counter offered, the bank rejected our offer. So we're off to look at more homes this week and hope we find something the both of us like..again!

Fun at the Zoo!!

Poop, babbles, and all grown up...

The last couple of months have been a little hazy. We attempted potty training..didn't work. Burklee definitely has a mind of his own. We've tried baby food..didn't work. Bartelbe likes for nothing to come between him and his bottle. And Burklee has learned to escape the house so chain locks, here we come!

Updates...
Burklee-3 months till his 3rd birthday..which I've started planning already!! Talks like he's 5 which most of time is not a good thing! Favorite shows are Dinosaur Train, Art & Music, & Baby Signing Time. We have been working with burklee on sign language for a few months or so and he's loving every minute of it. quick story: Allan comes into the living room last night "What is he trying to tell me?", while burklee is standing behind him signing. Oh he's saying the food you cooked for him is too hot to eat. Allan is trying but its taking a little longer for him to catch on. Burklee also has a favorite color..orange!

Bartelbe-6 months next week. Rolls from back to front and front to back, gets his butt up in the air trying to crawl, laughs at almost everything, squeals when you say his name, and loves his brother. They can be across the room from each other just looking at one another and both start laughing.

We also found out we're expecting again and due middle of September. And now looking for a bigger house!

up all night?!?!?

Bartelbe is now over 3 months old and Burklee is just over his 2 1/2 mark. We've all had colds for over a week now and both boys have ear infections. Last night Bartelbe only woke up once compared to the last week where he has waken up every one to two hours. He's starting to push more pressure on his legs and trying to jump along with rolling over a few times. I've been looking for a horse jumperoo that a friend let up borrow, but I would love to find one to have permanently. Allan and I have also been looking for some land around the Concordia area to build. We did find one spot where there is a house that needs to be torn down along with some out-buildings. Not much else to report. We've just been staying home a lot lately and trying to find things new to do around the house.

2 months already?!?

So its been a month since my last post and 2 months since we had bartelbe (well 2 months tomorrow). We tried for almost a year to get pregnant with Bart and when we finally did, I didn't know if I was as happy as I thought I would be. Then with the morning sickness being as horrible as it had, I was unsure how I felt about being pregnant. Well...I can definitely say I could not picture my life without my baby boy. He makes me so happy so see his smiling face...even at 3am. I miss being pregnant with him and feeling him inside me.

He is now sleeping at least 5 hours most nights. Sometimes 4. Sometimes 6 or 7. He loves watching Burk run past him all day and eats 6-7 ounces at a time. I just love watching him change everyday. Here are some pictures over the past month!
