Getting along...

So, its been awhile..again!

We found out we're having a boy! He's a little smaller than burklee was at this point, but he's healthy and doing great! I had a dr. appt this morning and we're going with a c-section repeat. He wanted me to try a VBAC but after discussing all the risks with him, we decided to keep it "safer" and do the repeat...so we're looking at Oct 4th! Burklee is adapting well. We've switched room recently here in concordia and the boys now have the larger room. Both beds are in there and burklee knows the baby will be sleeping there too!

We've slowly been redoing our rental we're living in right now. We're gutting almost everything a little at a time. We've started with the bathroom which was supposed to be a quick replacement of the bathtub, vanity, and toilet has now turned into taking everything out including the sheetrock. We're redoing the layout to have a little extra room, putting everything new back in from floor to celling which will put us into the kitchen next. We're stumped on what to do with it but I do know I want all white kitchen cabinets with an anitiqued island. We've already done the island which is cute I must say! I made curtains for it to have extra storage underneath and the back is chalkboard for burklee. The layout of the kitchen is so akward so we'll be doing a little more construction to it as well. The boys' room got a fresh coat of paint last week to match their theme of "vintage Jack and Jill"...and hopefully around Christmas we will get rid of the god awful blue shag carpet. Its driving me nuts! I want my all wood flooring back..its probably what I miss most about our house in Salina..yes, it was a little more noisy with the dogs and burklee but it kept the house so much cooler and come on...it wasn't blue shag carpet! But enough about our house!

There's not much else to report...business is going good, getting a little slow but thats okay because so am I and I take my maternity leave here in 2 weeks. I'm taking off 4 weeks then starting back up with 2 back to back weddings!

We lost our great dane Kellie a couple months back right after we moved here. Allan found her in the pin just laying there so we burried her in our open lot. We wanted to bury her under her favorite willow tree but the tree was so old and the roots so thick, we got as close as we could. It was extremely hard at first but its getting easier. She was like my daughter since apparently I will be a mother of only boys! We've talked about getting another great dane but want to see how everything is going to play out with 2 children!

And here are a few more pictures!

Our baby girl, kellie.

wow...its been awhile my lonely sad blog!

I honestly tried months and months to post..but our internet at home would never let me upload my post after typing it all out! So we're trying again....

We've moved to Concordia this last weekend and Burklee is now shy of 22 months, my business is in full swing now booking more than I can handle at this point, oh and I'm pregnant!!

I'm not sure who if anyone at all reads this blog, but if you do..thanks!

Burklee updates:

He calls me anna or daddy now,
can also say peas (please), tank ew (thank you), night night, kellie, rennie (aunt arenda), boo (aunt amber), kiss (uncle chris), dog, eat, yes, no, fine (as in "burklee pick your toys up", "fine!"), oh no, out, gamah (grandma), papa (grandpa butch and occasionally papa jim jim), and pisa pisa (pizza pizza).
He can run, jump, dance, eat with a fork all by himself (or he refuses to eat), colors, loves loves loves the shows or movies: yo gabba gabba, santa clause, happy feet, and cars~
He'll eat almost anything at this point but actually doesn't like icecream all that much!

My updates:
I'm 14 weeks along and we'll find out if its a boy or a girl in about 2 months, we're very excited but very anxious too! Right now we're not concerned with the sex, decorating, or planning...we're just concentrating on me gaining weight and getting healthy! I've been loosing a lot of weight since I got pregnant (worse than I did with burklee), and the baby is smaller than they would like it to be but has a very healthy heartbeat! Like I said my business is taking off and is so much fun! I love meeting with new clients and when they have new ideas..I get so excited I can hardly stand it. I did my first shoot this week with a couple and their horses and two weeks ago, I did easter pictures with real chickens and ducks!!

Allan's news:
He doesn't have to drive anymore..which is the #1 reason why we moved and he's loving it. He gets to come home for lunch to see us and gets 2 hours off the road everyday (which was making him a little cranky and hard to be around when he got home). He's not excited about all the unpacking and decorating we have ahead of us, wants to get rid of all the dogs by the time the new baby is here, but I think he's a lot happier since we're here.

Not much else to report..so here are some pictures!

Trying to keep up...

Small update before Burklee wakes up...

He now....
says dove ew (love you)
b.y.e (spells out instead of says it)
ch ch ch (for trains)
and pretty much repeats everything

He also....
opens doors and goes down stairs

Loves to read...for hours!

We had a great time at concordi's fair..and salina's fair. Burklee won the Baby Beauty Contest in his division.

Other than that, he's growing way too fast and already takes things apart like his daddy! Here are some more random pictures!!!

Firsts for EVERYTHING!

This post was inteded for burklee's actual birthday..but for some reason, it didn't publish so here we go again!!! So today we've had our "firsts". Burklee had his first birthday!!! yah! Also, his first haircut, first big boy cup while we're out at dinner, first individual cup of twist soft serve icecream, first "legal" day of siting forwards in the car...i say legal b/c he's had to sit forwards for about 2 months now b/c he was too big to sit backwards..his feet hit the seat and he couldn't stretch out!

His haircut went great..no fussing at all!

His party (Sat) was also really fun! A little crazy and unorganized but what can say..it was our first one!!!

boring here

So a lots happened...and I mean A LOT! Burklee's been in and out of the E.R....on 6 different meds...breathing machine...everything it seemed like. He allergic to penicillin! Yup thats it...he's still on breathing treatments though! We're getting ready for his big birthday party...actually not too big! Just a BBQ, cupcakes...thats it! I will hopefully be sending out invited this weekend! I have my first wedding coming up in a few weeks! AHH! I'm excited...nervous but excited! I'm sure it will be fine! My epiphanie bag will be here friday! Its a purse/camera bag..very sleek and gorgeous! I've been wanting one since I seen them about 5 months ago and my grandma got me one for graduation! So I'll have it not only for my first wedding but everyday life...my camera is not leaving my side!

We finally took possession of that house in Con...and as of tomorrow, it will be rented out....2 Bedroom, 1 Bath, 1 Car Garage...nice size back yard, basement for storage... I think we're giving them a heck of a good deal...it would go for double what we're asking here in Salina but oh well...Its going to a nice lady with a little kid/baby...not sure!

Burklee is loving the outdoors...I can tell he's going to be very tan this summer! Not sure what to think about the little pool we got him. We're making the transition to big people food...starting with grapes, kiwi, bananas...and I guess..hush puppies from LJS. He grabbed one of the table and we didn't think anything of it....welp..half of it was gone...oh and never try to take a half eaten hush puppy away from an almost one year who thinks he knows everything...you will be forced out of the store whether your done eating or not...not by management..but by the glares of people I'm sure are saying..."control your kid!"

But nothing else really going on!

news....

Burklee's doing great...G.R.E.A.T! He can stand (when he wants to) on his own...and even take a couple steps! He's tantrums now are throwing himself on the floor and laying his head flat. My cousin calls it playing possum because it looks like he's playing dead! His 18 months clothes he's been wearing for the last 3 months are getting a little baggy on him which mean he's on the move...ALL the time! He eats 7 jars of baby food a day and a total of 27 ounces of formula a day! He also eats veggie dip or carrot graduate puffs and other snacks like the bitter biscuits and oh..anything he can grab (before we catch him) off our plate...such as french fries, whip cream..and tonight..cheese cake! no-I do not approve but he's so quick..most of the time, I don't realize until he's done chewing! I think before I said he had 7 teeth..well he only had 6 and is now working on the 7th. We're doing some rocking as we speak!

I graduate this week from Cloud. We've been shopping all day to find a dress but we only found new shoes and a really cute shirt. I'm going tomorrow to Con to find the slacks or capri's. I've also been working on getting things in order for the Concordia fair...prices, taxes, actually making a dent on my boutique items...that sort of thing. Should be a very busy next couple of months!!!

In The ER...

So last night, I rocked Burklee and sang him a couple songs (well 4) and put him to bed...like any other night. He feel fast asleep and so did his daddy and I. About midnight, I woke up because I could sense somthing was wrong to hear Burklee breathing funny...Almost like he wasn't at all. So I ran to his room to find him sqeezing his blankets and trying to gasp for air. I picked him up and after about 3 minutes of shaking him, he finally woke up and Allan and I ran him to the hospital. My hair half way in a pony, no makeup on, or even brushed me teeth. I'm pretty sure he wansn't in his carseat all the way either. We get there and they give him a steriod shot (after about 2 hours), and they tell us it's crupe cough which will most likely come back everytime the weather/season changes! Nothing to really prevent it, but if he starts getting a runny nose or cough, to open up the freezer and let him breathe the cold air in and it will help him breathe. So all in all...very bad night. I've never been so scared in my life!
